ABANDON.

Fay Slimm.

Abandon.

Eastern the rhythm as dancer begins.

Barefoot fluidity,

gliding vibration of smooth undulation.

Transparent veils floating like wings.

Bold sensuality,

in spinning abandon to body pulsation.

Entrancing the swirls of organza-spins.

Increasing shaking

as silken-gold fringes twirl in gyration.

Twisting hands shiver in bangled rings.

Pace quickening

leaves onlookers stirred by sensation.

Oriental performance an audience wins.

Beautiful write Fay. It perfectly describes their movements so well. Lovely pic painted by words and the pic completed it.

Superb write, I could see her dancing.

My granddaughter loves to dance. She started ballet at age 3. The movements are so graceful.

A fine write Fay. I would swoon seeing her, as in some other poems, where I am 'delicate'. I should get out more! heehee.

you show us how fragile and sensitive we are.

Oooooh that young soul hasn't left your limbs I'm thinking. Did your mind travel to times when the lady you describe was no other than you poetess?.... oh false modesty, shy and blinking innocence I perceive.
Hope you're smiling. Such a tantalising piece.
