Tune: Ellers

('Saviour, again to thy dear name we raise')

********

Lord, calm our hearts where fretful, troubled be

Help us look to you and by faith you see

Going along each step along life's road

With you, knowing you before us have trode

What at a corner turning may be so

Help us to show and in your image grow

What your appointings, plans and purposes

To do your will, that be fulfilment, bliss

Guard us along, through dangers,a nd where dark

Help us to listen, and still to you hark

Trusting your guiding light through good and ill

Your faithfulness you shall show to us still

Through each day's labours and necessities

Your Spirit in us strengthens us and frees

Us from worries, anxieties and care

For we know you to us your peace declare

An onward journey, gospel too to share

That others too a heavenly home may fare

All through your saving presence, loving, true

Then to spend all eternity with you

  • Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 10.10.10.10. metre. Sorry I couldn't find a clip with actual people in it singing. Ahh, an empty church - what use is that?! doh!

Thanks B & A. I was gonna join that church in the pic cos it looks a bit empty. They told me it's a perfect church. Then they said 'Erm, don't you join it; you'll spoil it!' lol.
