Make-Over.
Yes, let's colour our hair.
Choose clothes with care.
Buy and eat the right food.
We deserve to look good.
Let's look young for our age.
We are all at that stage.
So walk tall down each aisle.
We deserve a fresh style.
Let's look at our inside.
Hurtful past we may hide.
Do moods line our faces ?
We deserve a re-make.
Let's look deeper to start.
Try a make-over heart.
Let's not settle for show.
We are worth it you know!
Do we choose to forgive ?
Wish to live and let live ?
Offence might then decline.
We deserve lives that shine.
So let's work inside-out.
Learn what change is about.
Before choice comes too late.
We deserve to FEEL great.

Good write Fay. Beauty comes from the inside to see any beautiful person just look into their eyes and their beauty will shine.
So true Goldi - - there is no hiding our real self away.
Well i do hope you feel great, because you write flippin marvelous. What a lovely, light, happy, encouraging piece today. Deserving of a spritely tune to joyously sing it along to on this bright summers (it ain't half hot mum) day.
Yes dear friend I feel good inside fpr most of the time -- clearing out space by letting guilt go leads to self -respect and understanding and wanted to verse that in a lively way - - so pleased you liked the light-hearted poem -- we all deserve to find freedom from carrying past baggage so we can dance like there is no tomorrow. Thank you for your encouraging comment.
This is a great philosophy for living in later life. Thank you for sharing. Slightly on topic, I remember a line from a play I was once in ..."Age is an awesome thing. It is the one true mirror that reflects the vanity of youth!"
Too true that quote and glad you appreciated the reasoning behind the light-hearted lines - that no matter our stage in life we all need to find self-acceptance. Thanks so much for your valued comment.
Love the upbeat in this write Fay. We all need it. I think it fits you like a mould. Perfect!
Ah - your mind works on a similar level to mine dear friend - wanted to get an upbeat kind of flow to this subject and so pleased you liked the result - - Thank you dearly for your continued interest and support of my work - -hope you are feeling bit lighter at heart after losing your beautiful four-footed pal recently. Sending you hugs. xxxxx
He is unreplaceable. I still turn sometimes to see him. Out of habit I guess. Then I just tell myself he is entertaining the Angels. Ty
My dear Fay,
This IS a wonderful lighthearted write which I enjoyed reading! Working from the inside out is rewarding not only for ourselves, but also for others!
Your goodness shines through this well penned poem!
~Laura~
Delighted you got pleasure from reading my effort to lighten a serious subject yet bring out the rewards in clearing out inner-guilt for peace is important - - thank you dear Laura for all your support.
oohh, I'm off to dye me hair green then! I'm a dark horse. lol.
Green hair maybe your statement of wishing for make-over dear Orchi so I respect the choice of shade.
GOOD EVENING FAY: Angela Here its 8am (Thursday) just preparing for work, this poem needs a Woman's touch. There is a great truth here that "Our outer appearance reflects our inner Peace, or lack of it!" Physiotherapy invigorates the Inner Woman : Beauty Therapy enhances the outer. We need both! I know Ladies have the edge when it comes to makeovers. My parents are both in their 60's and My Mum is like a chameleon and always looks the part, Wedding, Funeral or Night out with the Girls. However hard he tries my Papa always manages to look like a Spanish Wine Merchant! Personally I always take good care of myself INSIDE & OUT two of the many reasons BRIAN loves me. He's the same! Thanks take good care of yourself. love ANGELA XXXX
How lovely to get this supportive message and to hear of your enthusiasm for make-over with peace as result - so many aches and pains today come from challenging self-love and respect and failing to see how until we sort that we can give only a snippet of love's power to others........ to love our neighbour as ourself always struck me as fine Biblical counsel on which to ponder - - -keep taking care and a very big than you for your visit and read. Hugs from Cornwall U.K. all the way over to beautiful New Zealand.
