This poem feels familiar in many ways. It has an archetypal theme common to many and strikes deep. It feels controlled and used even abused enslaved. Yet the control is metaphoric and what holds one in this garden are our own roots of dependency. Most nicely written and it is a wonderful metaphor with the petals being either time and aging with years being pulled off and the person growing less attractive in personality or even physically or they may be seen as loosing the strength and ability to separate and be their old self. Very nice
