There\'s a unique feel to your tone and flow
and there\'s both a surrealist, scenic depiction and a more sincere, introspective wording, of
making a connection, or finding a belonging to believe-in...
anyway, as you can tell I found this a really interesting read, and I thank you for choosing to share

Your\'e back! Disappeared there for a while...

An easy comfortable travel through early evening which I experienced to the full.
Mine a small attractive Bakelite container. Not quite the same, but the past still full of questions...

Nicely done in presenting the passage of time in a sad and romantic way, including how our sense of smell can play such a big part in all that..

I love the simplicity and fluidity of this piece. It starts out a little predictably (not in a trite way), but when you compare the reminders of a person who has drifted out of your life to grown children returning only to remind you that they are gone, I was overcome by strong emotions, even a tear. A beautiful comparison, a bittersweet little poem!

\'Dressed elegantly
To meet life.
Wearing a fine suede jacket
Bought long ago
On a happy day.
The yellow handkerchief
In his breast pocket
Matches the few late leaves
Stubbornly clinging
To the almost naked branches.\'
these ten lines above, taken as a stand-alone stanza, are some of the purest poetry lines I have read on MPS, they need nothing added to them
good write

Woww an awesome poem, I was admiring the Autumn imagery, great in metaphorical inspiration to \'letting go\" and moving on in all positive.
Kudos.

Now that is a beautiful piece of work sir! What wonderful things our dreams, be they daydreams or other, truly are. I marvel at the imagined places and people my dream self has constructed for i know i revisit them, pure fantasy as they are, time and again.
You really capture the mosaic of a dream with your snatches dreamworlds dance with one\'s senses here. I really really like this piece.
A MUST for my favourites. You\'ve made my day.

\'Or will your steps be heavy
With regret and loneliness as friends,
Always wondering, always longing
Perhaps a song or sudden light
Will show a way to that place
Where love and thoughts
Are tender friends.\'
wonderfully insightful and subtle in tone, underlining that tight rope parent\'s have to traverse: yearning to pass-on their hard-earned wisdom - fruits from their own mistakes, while being careful to not discourage or belittle the opportunities presented to their most cherished of treasures.
