This poem tells of the selling of values, people and souls for gain. It is graphic and vivid in its imagery using allegory and metaphor very well. It has some great lines that make their point so nicely. \"They draft the laws to lock the cellar door, ensuring that the bottom stays below.\" a valid social comment on a cast system in capitalism. \"A plastic cup is filled with lead and woe.\" whether lead is bullets from violence or in the water of the poor makes little difference here and may be taken both ways for even greater effect. Very clever. \"The distance isn\'t measured out in miles, but by the thickness of a wallet\'s fold.\" Nicely said. A well written poem in good rhyme and a fave

The Disheartened Reality
arqios said:
Twice as long here and realised lately that it is the art and not the audience that calls the shots, deep within the artist.
The outward validation can and does drown and it is an ongoing struggle to look within through the outside noise.
As yet El Dorado of art has not been found. And if it has, then it\'s kept under wraps and not has not been shared. πποΈ

A good write where I have often wondered what that might be like. Bear apex preditor but then there are other bears to fight and like everything else there is always a bigger and stronger one. A fun write

Free Love
sorenbarrett said:
There seems to be a prejudice against all things that fall out of the norm jealousy for those more beautiful and revulsion for those deemed more ugly, acceptance for those like us and hatred for those different. Other animals the same chickens have a pecking order where some will be pecked to death. Well written
