cross reference your sources

for their bull sht
and take it all, with a pinch of fallacy\'s salt...
(I relate with your fury
but the issue is only, \'seemingly\'
overbearing, because
they don\'t want us to know, how simple
the solution is)

Yes its a fine line between letting go and being happy for them, or developing anger towards them, luckily I don\'t have anger within me (well at least not yet) lol
Thank you again

L. B. Mek said:
life is strange
if we truly loved that person, from our past
wouldn\'t we naturally want them to be happy
even without us, and yet
one glimpse
of them lost in joy\'s, comforting
smiles and hands
and our jealousy, grants us
the anger needed
to throttle our happiness, for them
and instead
let our selfishness, define
our thoughts and emotions...
unless, of-course
their past disloyal actions, dictates
we hate them, with every last breath we get
(crazy, how both mindsets
can be simultaneously applicable
to such differing situation/relationship
endings...)
a thought provoking read, thanks for sharing

DARTS
Goldfinch60 said:
I used to play darts in my younger years and I do have a dartboard set up in my garage where I throw the odd dart.
When the film \'Carrie\' came out I saw it in the cinema and when Carrie sends three knives at her mother a guy in the audience shouted out \"ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY\" as the last one landed, the audience laughed their heads off.

such a sad, part
of our commonly experienced
everyday, reality..
and seemingly, no amount
of adverts, campaigns
school speaker efforts
can curb those morbidly
ever-rising numbers
year on year...
just one more, costly \'plague\'
to add to our societal, list...
(thanks for sharing
really well written)

Powerful words Ray, and so very true. It is so sad the way those who have fought for our country are so awfully ignored by those in power who went them out to fight in the first palce.
Welcome to MPS.

You\'re right, it\'s not half bad, in fact it\'s very good. Hard to believe it is your first poem. You obviously have been harbouring a great talent. I hope you are going to write more for us.
For me there are no rules in poetry, do your own thing. We use language and that is a fluid thing which is constantly changing, the old rules go out of the window.
Welcome to MPS a friendly place to post your poetry. This place works best if we read each others stuff and leave a comment where we think it\'s appropriate. Along the way you\'ll get to make friends if youre anything like me. Please feel free to throw stones (or bricks) at anything I post on here. Enjoy yourself.

OLD MAN
Nicholas Browning said:
Often times it\'s difficult to be critical of someone else\'s poetry, especially when experience or subject clashes with form. There aren\'t a lot of people on this site that will tell you a poem is downright bad, but some might. This poem gives me the feeling of an American soldier coming back from Vietnam. Them being shunned, and all that. It\'s quite good for a first attempt; a few grammatical errors but in poetry that\'s no crime. I\'d say it\'s a fine example of a man\'s reflection on his life as he searches for something new. I enjoyed the read, and welcome to MPS.
