THE WATER CALLED TO ME
MendedFences27 said:

Down Dismal then Delighted

Sitting next to the sea.
Smelling the fresh and salty air.
Perhaps, a hint of Ozone.
Search the horizon for what I can see.
A boat, a ship, the rising Sun, what do I care?
My heart\'s broken, my love is gone.
The ocean has taken her away from me.
My pain becomes more than I can bear.
How can I exist all alone?
Something is there, I hope I can see.
Two women surfing, A fun-loving pair.
Perhaps, I will take their picture on my phone.
\"Hi, can I take your picture while you\'re in the sea?\"
\"Yes? Great, keep your wet suits on, don\'t worry about your hair.\"
\"If you like I\'ll send it to your phones.\"
\"What are your names? Oh, and your numbers please.\"
\"Thanks, O.K. Mind if I call you there? Great!\'
Wow, I think my pains all gone.

My poem per your request. Enjoyed your poem. Never felt that it might mean suicide. Just a poor soul waiting for the next episode in his life, - Phil A.

happens to most of us some time or the other - the answer is to take into account what is good in our lives, and be grateful; and you will feel better once you count your blessings..

One should not wish to be yellow, at least in American English, for it is equivalent with a coward. Blue is a much better color, my favorite in fact. All kidding aside this is a sad poem reflecting fear and guilt as underlying motivations for depression. When one confronts one\'s fear it falls away, maybe into nothing maybe into anger but regardless one now has something to be proud about and guilt dissolves. With the dawning of this new day the sun comes out and will paint you golden.

Uncertainty marks all things from quantum mechanics to our lives and we live in a world of probabilities a gamble where the house always wins. This we know all must die in the end it is just when the movie ends that we do not know. Well written

Such wisdom a a young age is admirable, I am always romantically enthralled by the Rocky Adrien type love, such soulmates do exist and not one soul should except anything less. Even if reality has its own plan the heart wants to be in that position of pure love and happiness. I hope with all my heart you find yours. Brava. 🌹

Your poem moves like a memory the soul remembers even when the mind does not. The way you blend longing, past‑life echoes, and that haunting sense of belonging to a place you’ve never touched feels beautifully otherworldly. The imagery of witches, fire, and unseen presences gives the piece a depth that lingers—like a doorway cracked open to something ancient. This is the kind of writing that doesn’t just describe a feeling; it summons it. Truly captivating.

This feels like the moment when the heart whispers truths the world can’t hear. The way you shaped doubt, fear, and resilience into imagery is powerful. You’re not alone in that “what‑if” spiral—your voice makes it seen.
