Torn Between Two Worlds
Noah Malice said:

your grip on form is absolutely solid, but your figurative language is a little too abstract to be considered from more than one point of view. for instance, in the first stanza when you describe a metaphor for something might have more impact if you dropped the reference to the metaphor and just give us the metaphor as such.

\"Our receptors coded to self-destruct upon / Successful procreation...\"
This line literally grabbed me by the throat and made me spit out my kidney.
Geez this is one heck of a poem.
The way you epitomized humanity in such gloomy and terrifying ways is spectacular.
Brava dear poet!

Solace of the Sea
L. B. Mek said:

maybe she\'s looking in the wrong place
we often look outwards, when
all our answers exist, within us..
(great imagery, again
thanks for sharing)

Metamorphosis
L. B. Mek said:

I think this is missing the transformative part, to go with the title
\'the rebirth\' if you like..
still, this is packed with striking imagery;
an intriguing read on stages and finality
of a shattered heart\'s demise;
thanks for sharing, dear poet

Gunmetal Gray
L. B. Mek said:

\'Wrapped in resilience,
You bend but do not break.

Your eyes blaze with luster,
Setting free the light,
Trapped within molten metal,
A once-concealed ferocity,
Plundering the battlefield,
Of my stone-cold heart.\'
these lines, are a poem
on-to themselves..
really well written, thanks for sharing
dear poet

Blood of Creation

This feels like a fight with your alter ego with no overall winner in sight.
You feel the house of cards coming down.

Autopsy
L. B. Mek said:

Brilliant!
(beware what yield, you ask
of hindsight
for in that rear view, mirror
where, all
is grotesque levels of transparent
truth itself, is distorted
into whirlwinds of plaguing, regret
undo, redo or delete
options
don\'t exist, in reality
even forgiveness, comes
with stipulations and gangrene
heart\'s
so if your crimes are as heinous
as that reflection, that greets you
then, may you be tormented
till the end of days
for
the memories, you cursed
your victims, with
will continue to tear them apart
till, their very last
while they strive to survive..
\'You trace the constellation of scars that
Line my thighs, a map of brutality, a tale
Of survival, decades of memories
Preserved in the ink staining my skin,
Secrets housed in their black outlines. \')
just a great write, forgive me
I couldn\'t help but scribble a little
something in reply
to show you, how your words
impacted me
thanks for sharing, dear poet

I loved the horrific imagery in this poem. You placed the perfect amount of edge and detail between each and every line. Excellent work.
