“(…) It is because Milton owned, some might even say was obsessed by another quality which according to taste, can be labelled idealism, conscience, fastidiousness, pride, or a perfection-complex. There is evidence that at the age of twenty-one Milton dedicated himself, before God, to poetry. Certainly, he took the poetic profession with extreme seriousness, and he refused to allow any work to see the light that he did not consider to be the best he was good for, at the age when he wrote it. You are absolutely right, it is useless to try to prove ourselves to others, because in their eyes, we are never good enough,something always needs improved, but in reality we are perfectly made and as long as we are happy that is all that matters
