A strongly emotional poem written with power and vivid images. The point is quickly made about the difference in hormonal drive between males and females and the perceived need for control so as not to be felt invasive. Nicely written

Plenty of fish in the sea.

Tales of loneliness. Even among a multitude, we feel alone. The search for a fish is indeed the search for a soulmate, for an anchor that will prevent one from drifting on endlessly, hopelessly. Coleridge (1772-1834) said \"Water, water everywhere, nor any drop to drink...\" Seven billions of people around us, yet we still feel incomplete. For people just pass each other by, many pursuing a path that will not lead to completion. We hope better times come your way soon. As for the students not appreciating, it takes poets to understand their fellow poets...

I\'m a picky fish eater myself and I know all fish eat. It\'s what they eat that is troublesome. I don\'t like bottom feeders, I stay away from sharks, whales are too large. The sea is overfished and polluted but every once in a while with patience I hook a dolphin, not the mammal but the fish colorful and full of fight and oh so delicious when fresh. Great write

Disappointment drips from this poem a sadness of loss of something never possessed. Well written
