the end of history

Most creative, your line, endings and beginnings we’ve this poem from line to line stanza to stanza. It tells its tail in an almost surreal manner. Well written.

Loss

I see that this may be taken in two different ways one fantastic and alien and the other microscopic and the creation of bacteria. In either case the poem expresses a sense of horror at what might be inside the closet an alien object or being or something rotting and decomposing. An ugly surprise either way. Well done

Nicely said. Your poem explores the juxtaposition of the mundane and the absurd, highlighting the unpredictability of life and the often surreal nature of existence.

The invention of history.
sorenbarrett said:

This story builds line upon line as if different people were asked to add the next piece they seem free floating thoughts each connected to the last in an absurd world where proximity is all that counts. It is clever in its construction presenting one thought per line as if each line is a lego brick all of different colors stacked and woven into a tower. The end does bring us back though and puts the last brick in place. Well done

Dunno about history and it\'s invention here, but a very surreal and entertaining little ride.

after the empire collapses

A most unusual format to this poem that\'s lines continue from one stanza to the next in irregular breaks. It has surreal imagery that adds to the dream like feel. Well done

When nothing makes sense anymore.
sorenbarrett said:

It reads with some grit and I love the jargon included that makes it all the more real. It grinds the bone along with the tooth and leaves the reader drooling as well. It feels real. Well done

Nine words scrambled in the wind.
sorenbarrett said:

This one seems posed as a puzzle of humanity and as I see it a commentary on humanity and our ability or rather inability to govern ourselves. Well done

So many souls involved in this poem and one must ask if there is a skeleton in the closet or did he come out of the closet long ago. A fun read that one must ask is it all fun or is there deeper meaning here.

Beauty ignored is April her name. A very nice write of deeper meaning that is initially evident. Like the rain it needs to sink in. Well done

Well written. Your poem focuses on a fly buzzing around a room, interacting with its environment, and ultimately finding a momentary pause in a painting. This imagery serves as a metaphor for life’s impermanence and the small moments of stillness we experience amid the chaos.

A short snapshot in time without explanation it briefly dips us into reality only to be awakened from the dream by a slap. Very nice

This poem takes the seasons of life as matter of fact and is quite dry in delineating its plans. Well done

Parts of speech like people all take different forms in this poem. A great metaphor it speaks to the reader about the care that must be exercised by us as writers in choosing our friends when writing. Very nicely done

The original sin.
sorenbarrett said:

This to me is one of you best it carries indications of deeper meaning buried and its images are intriguing with a dark sense of mystery. The second to the last stanza of a butcher wearing a white apron over a dead man\'s snappy gray suit tells me a lot. Cosmetic cover ups as a shield for bloody hands and the gray suit seems very business like and proper. Very nice

Quite the scene set with vivid images. I am not sure of the metaphor here if there is one but it feels very worldly and full of flesh whether it be sex or cadavers

Winter
Durdica Porobija said:

The poem is appealing and can be read on two levels: on the realism of childhood snowy joys and on the other hand on the level of the theme of the transience of human beings, and indeed, the erasure of every trace of existence.
