I love the last line that finishes the poem with a totally different view. Yes indeed people are not only curious but judgmental and associate anyone different as odd wanting to get information to gossip about. Nicely written

Stars in the Sky ⟡ ݁₊ .

I always found it interesting that people want to name stars after themselves and there were even sites that sold that privilege. A great poem of possession even in love.

My reflection

A powerful poem on oneself. Your poem suggests a struggle with self-acceptance and the fear of facing one\'s true self, as the reflection represents an aspect of the self that is neglected or misunderstood.

Here there is a lack of recognition as to what one has become. A great poem of reflection

Arguments
sorenbarrett said:

Many times indeed arguments are a pointless waste of breath even if they see it with their own eyes they would not believe it their mind made up. A great poem

Although this poem seems to be about a close relationship for me it is nature it is directed to. A tender and lovely write

The girl and her Orange ribbons
sorenbarrett said:

We all ask why we are not like others. Why I don\'t have musical talent, good at math, a great athlete, beautiful as a model, popular. So little we understand. A wonderful write

The girl and her Orange ribbons
Paul Bell said:

Yes why indeed.
It\'s all conformity, got to stay in your box and not rock the boat.
Definitely don\'t mention the red ribbon, this will get you thrown out the pure house for sure.

So used to routine that it becomes anticipated and expected. To interrupt it even with something good but unusual is not only a surprise but an unpleasant one. A fun read.

There is a feel in this poem of antiquity and of heritage as well as a sense of quaintness and distinction. Nicely done

A jester
sorenbarrett said:

The first glance the season and the red hat with dark eyes I thought of St. Nick but then it grew serious and I knew it was not. As for the singer I do not venture to guess knowing but a hand full of modern singers and most non commercial, most of my knowledge comes from a previous generation. The poem itself is very well written and quite poetic regardless of the person. Nicely written it speaks for itself

The letter of Amel
sorenbarrett said:

I take this as a grizzly metaphor for we reap what we sow and that as with all else neglect and abandonment breeds anger and resentment leading at times to violence. This can be turned on the innocent and even those that are nurturing and that care. There is no turning back when it has been too long time being a lock on the door. Well done nicely written in a period style the suits well the setting. The images are graphic and it has a sudden stop to it that emphasizes the meaning. Loved it

The man at the end of the Dike (translated version)
sorenbarrett said:

Truly Germanic in nature this tale bears all the trimmings of a folk tale with the old style of not sugaring the tale for children. It is dark and full of meaning. Traditional in nature it reads as a classic
