Efrain, this is such a fun ride…witty from start to finish. The humor feels sharp but affectionate. It never mocks the student life…it embraces it. “he learns to laugh, and that is best.” lands warm and earned. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛

Yep - that felt it took about as long to read as it did to attain my degree and was very familiar indeed.

Keep them rolling...I feel my stamina may be improving...

A loving labor this telling of the life of a student. It is highly relatable to any student and I know I have been through much of that in my time. A good read and a fave

I avoid love/relationship poetry like the plague. However having sampled a couple of your previous posts, I gave this more attention than I normally would... Rewarded. Fun. Thanks.

A most fanciful poem written in twelve stanzas that is filled with fantastic metaphorical images that seem to melt into the fabric of the poem. A lovely and fairy like poem. Loved it a fave

If You Leave

Perception is everything and lying to oneself to ease the fall and deceive the soul we all do even the brave. A beautiful poem that presents two points of view. Nicely written

Brilliance is having your keys in the fridge, cos the fridge actually controls life.
Procrastination is the greatest word in the dictionary, saving you the indignity of running to the gym when the bakers is closer.
This is why the decision to make decisions is made after coffee and cake are consumed in large quantities, and the bar is offering free beer tomorrow.

The Fox, the Lion, and the River’s Mirror
Doggerel Dave said:

I confess I\'m not a fan of longform poetry as my concentration levels could be better. However your pieces here do tend to draw me in, and this piece is no exception. Great form and rhyme propels the story forward to a satisfying conclusion.

Letter Written to Her at Noon
sorenbarrett said:

A hymn to a love written in formal and classic style, it seems to echo past hymns and speaks of love in images of nature and heaven. Nicely written it is a strong work.

This poem of adoration in classic form expounds upon the virtues of one worshiped and in many metaphors of nature expounds upon their attributes of glory. It is romantic in an old style way and a fave

Masterfully written with some wonderful lines one example being:
\"Music escapes from windows half-ajar,
A constellation forged of mortal art;
Each note becomes a small ascending star
That charts a silver atlas through the heart.\"
So nicely metered and rhymed with great images it is a definite fave

Carnival Crown
sorenbarrett said:

A magnificent poem so well written. This work of art captures the spirt of Carneval. Here in Brazil it is a major thing with it going all night in the streets, bars and clubs. Where I am the rain has put a bit of a damper on it but still it goes like a fire in the rain. I am truly impressed with the vivid imagery used in this poem and as I read it I can hear the drums and chants the crowds and feet dancing. You have captured it so well a definite fave
