So true it is, this poem speaks to an undervalued profession. I would have to say that a couple of teachers made all the difference in my life others pulled me back and almost destroyed me. I have a sister that teaches and I have taught myself and there is nothing more gratifying than seeing the difference made in a life by what you teach. But beware for the power of teaching is a two edged sword and cuts both ways, with the ability to destroy as well as build. A lovely write so well expressed. In fact I intend to post a poem tomorrow that hints at student teacher interaction
