Love the Haiku too ~ Nature shows the Glory of God ~ The Autumn palette is His handiwork. He made the dieing of a leaf like the dyeing of a fabric ~ AMEN ! Yours BRIAN

WOW DEE ~ You are going all classical on us ! Wonderful poem by a lovely poet ~ on a tragic event in the lives of two innocent people whose only crime was to fall in love. I have relations who are sad Spinsters because their Parents never considered the men they loved good enough. Thanks GOD you and I are free to fall in love (and marry if we wish) whom we will. I knew of Heloise & Albard (love the painting !) but your elegant verse (and codicil) really brought them alive. Thanks for caring and sharing. Elegant poem ~ delicate subject. Your Friend BRIAN

THANK YOU DEE ~ For another beautiful poem of past love. Love always has a plus and a minus because so so often one is taken and the other left. I have not yet experienced such deep pangs of lost love but your lovely poems ~ in a sense ~ prepare me for it. The happier we are in a relationship the sadder we are when it ends. I love the second and fifth stanzas ~ so so sensuous and so so true to ones experience of true love ! Love BRIAN

Great poem as always Dee, I love "between the warm spaces and the soft rain, and the palpable flame that burns me up with false hope" such beautiful imagery.

Ohhhhhh DEE ~ Love all you poems they are so so fragrant. Love the silhouette just like you ~ Beautiful & Rare ! All you poems bring tears to my eyes (real Men do cry) and for this one "Tears of Joy". Your poetic fragrance fills MPS with Love & Peace. Four perfect quatrains balanced in rhyme (xaxa xbxb etc) and rhythm. True love (as you know Dee) looks into our eyes and sees beyond the scars of the past and sees only the beauty and promise of the "Pure Love you have to share". Another perfect poem ~ from a beautiful Lady ~ Love BRIAN

Thanks for caring and sharing DEE ~ Beautiful. Planet Earth is unique because God created it that way. As an Ecologist I see beauty ~ order ~ purpose ~ design in Creation (especially Planet earth) and it disavows blind chance and screams for a Creator ! It is no accident but Divine wisdom that the first verse in God's Word is "In the beginning God Created ......." If by faith we are wise enough to believe that then the rest of the Bible (even The Book of Revelations) all makes perfect sense. Thanks ~ each of your perfect poems ameliorates MPS. Love them and you and I'm so so glad you decided to join. Every Blessing BRIAN

THANKS DEE ! What better herald to a Monday Morning than a perfect 4 4 4 2 Love Sonnet from my fave MPOS Poet. Alas the subject is not "Love Requited" but "Love Rejected". In a divine way DEE you focus "not on the outward appearance ~ but on the heart". "'Tis beauty that I seek without a doubt ~ But that which from the inside shine'th out". What we see is often superficial ~ however what we feel and perceive is real. The structure and abab cdcd rhyming pattern is perfect. The message is direct and declining. Now you are making me cry ! Thanks for caring and sharing. Yours as ever BRIAN

WOW DEE ~ I love ANIMES and the poem is gorgeous too. Love the classical structure. A quartette of quatrains with a perfect abab cdcd etc rhyme pattern. It flowed off the page like liquid honey. Love and poetry (as you know) are synonymous and your lovely poem explores their interaction sensuously. I love classical poetry ~ and classical poets ! Yours BRIAN

Roses And rainbows ( Free Verse )
BRIAN & ANGELA said:

WELCOME DEE ~ Thank you for your elegant first poem. It is "free verse" but it has great structure and rhythm and flow. I'm a performance poet and I found it delightful to recite ~ six tight stanzas and the seventh (for poetic reasons) an extended one ! The title complements the content. LOVE is exempilified by Roses & Rainbows and you have captured that. S1. Ravishing love S2. Idol of one's idol (I love that !) S3. Memories of the first time S4. Living alone ~ like living without the sun (beautiful) S5. Feeling the warmth of your sun enveloping me! S6. Loved the coyness in this verse ! S7. "That rose smiled back at me ............" The last verse confirms that the subject of the poem is a departed Lover and completes the perfection of the passion in your perfect poem. Thanks for sharing ~ Yours BRIAN
