A thrush, because I'd been wrong,
Burst rightly into song
In a world not vague, not lonely,
Not governed by me only.

Comments2Love Richard Wilbur's use of language, it's simple and deep.
JUST READ "HAVING MISIDENTIFIED A WILD-FLOWER" FOR SCHOOL. IT'S PRETTY AVERAGE IF YOU ASK ME. I REMEMBER READING IT WHEN I WAS YOUNGER AND THINKING IT WAS KINDA BORING. GUESS SOME THINGS DON'T CHANGE. WISH IT HAD MORE EXCITEMENT OR SOMETHING I COULD REALLY FEEL. GUESS NOT EVERY POEM CAN BE A WINNER. OFF TO THE NEXT ASSIGNMENT.
