otherwise people are coughing in the middle of summer.
Oops I do it too, if it's warm enough. It makes me feel more 'casual' and 'flowing'. Sort of ethereal, as a breeze blows me shirt-tails as I stroll along. lol.
How about those socks and sandals?

OK so I had to look up chav: informal British derogatory, meaning "a young lower-class person who displays brash and loutish behaviour and wears real or imitation designer clothes".... and so many RULES! Funny....

I break all the rules these days. Once upon a time i was a paragon of sartorial elegance and took a pride in my appearance.. nowdays i don't give a hoot so long as i'm decent.
The only rule: there are no rules.
MIKE ~ This Heat Wave (I blame Brexit ~ Hot air blowing across La Manche !) has demolished English dress sense ! I lecture to the Young & Impressionable so I have to set standards. I never wear shorts @ work ~ always socks (I'm not JESUS !) and if the shirt is tailored to be worn UNTERPANTZ ~ I thus wear it ! I have some "shirts" tailored to be worn OBERPANTZ ~ I thus wear them ! I am a dedicated follower of Edwardian Fashion ~ OK Pleased to be back please check my Collaboration Poem ~ REST ......... !

How's that evening? You got that shirt tucked in or not?! Depends, as you say, if it's square cut and not tailored. Anyway, after all that, it's fairly pleasant just now. We're not frying, baking, scorching, etc - there's a 'promise' of it again soon though, like it or not! Shirt tails out again?!
