- Comment from author about the poem: STill working on a small screen but should be back to normal in a few days. Hoping my new laptop is ready later today. In the meantime apologies for not replying or commenting as much as usual - hope I can find my way round my new toy when I get it - I'm not very techie! ................... I quite like this little shortie - it came to me whilst thinking about what makes a poet.

A fine shortie Michael.
Ta lotly O
That you on your new laptop now M?
Yup - I'm lapping it up!!!
Ahh good. How was that evening - yesterday's I mean?! lol.
Very true Michael.
I could name some to whom the first line applies but being a gent.....!
A MAN may not always act MANLY
But XY chromosomes define him as a MALE
Alas many WOMEN are not LADIES
But XX chromosomes define them as FEMALES !
The sign on the TOILET DOOR is the dividing line !
What POETS write is not necessarily POETRY
But what a POET writes is (alas) always written
TRANSGENDER want to open all DOORS !
Thanks MIKE for an enigmatic doublet
If there wasn't a BAN ~ DOUBLET & HOSE
Thanks for sharing B & A

Your welcome
Hit it Michael - that always works. Yes you're right - the man who writes the techie manuals isn't a poet.......
You are so right - where do they find technical authors? I was lucky - the store where I bought it set it up and transferred the data for me so its as if there was no change.

I'm no poet mate, I'm just in therapy here.
I live in fear of laptop death. I loathe learning new operating systems. Windows 95, 98, 98 SE, XP, Vista, & 7. Been through them all. You think i want to know about win 10?
Win 10 as from this morning and getting on well with it thus far - old stack relegated to the cobweb infested garage
