CLOUDS OF COMFORT: By ANGELA: A 4 8 2 Sonnet

BRIAN & ANGELA

I'VE  looked at Clouds from outside in

Cumulus & Nimbus, Cirrus too

Their shapes are weird, the make me grin

And make me wonder, what do Clouds really do ?

I love the Clouds in the Summer Sky

It's warm and the wind is bracin'

I adore the Clouds in the Autumn Sky

When all the Clouds are chasin'

And Ooooo, the Clouds in the Winter Sky

Black when the snow is strewin'

And Ahhhh, the Clouds in a fresh Spring Sky

When cute Love Birds are cooin'

I've looked at Clouds in every Season now

And Clouds are always CANDY FLOSS somehow!

Please make a comment,  thanks Love ANGELA XXXX

The MAORI name for New Zealand is AOTEAROA

THE LAND OF THE LONG WHITE CLOUD!  We get

lovely Cloud Formations in Auckland and amazing

Sunrises & Sunsets over the Sea. Its Winter now

and lots of rain but no snow!  It's 6:30 pm Wednesday

13C (55F) lovely weather, no heat wave here.

I love all types of Clouds and  kept a Weather Log

each day when I studied Geography at School. The

MAORIS  use the clouds to predict the Weather. All

KIWIS (New Zealanders) are Conservationists which

is why NZ is a "Nuclear Free Country".  they have

thousands of beautiful WIND TURBINES instead!

A fine write B&A. Let's eat some of them then - candy floss! Can we catch them?
Meanwhile- I know a couple of clouds - in Cloud Cuckoo Land, and Cloud 9. heehee.

Thanks lookSTEVE, Your comments are so droll they always make me smile. You seem to live in Cloud Cuckoo Land! Thanks for commenting, some folk think clouds look like cotton wool or cauliflowers but they always remind me of Candy Floss, especially the PINK ONES! Yours forever ANGELA

Clouds are wondrous, each one is unique and can bring such wondrous thoughts into our souls.

YES ANDY, Clouds paint beautiful pictures in the SKY especially at Sunrise & Sunset, and everyone different! I hate "Cloudless Skies" you get a lot in MEXICO, and they lack character. New Zealand, Land of the Long White Cloud, is a great place for CLOUDOPHILES! Thanks for your appreciation. ive added a JONI MITCHELL song please check. Every blessing ANGELA (NZ)

One of the advantages in painting clouds is no one can ever say you got it wrong - they are so inspirational.

        • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks MIKE: The size and shape and colour of clouds is infinite and they always add another dimension to a painted Landscape, and inspire. Yours forever ANGELA XXXX

'I wandered lonely as a cloud'...... I forgot the rest. doh!
          And:
'Oh to be in England, Now that Spring is there...'
I should be 'Now that April's here', I think.
          Ccoooeee --- you online?!

I like your poem. I think living in Florida makes me look at sunsets before clouds. Still, even during a sunset, it is amazing how the clouds turn purple, orange, and pink.
            Keep writing.
            Persistence is key

HELLO BROTHER ~ I love Florida and She has the most beautiful Sunrises & Sunsets! However if you think about it, it is the CLOUDS that turn a natural event into a Perfect Picture: AMEN. Thanks for your comment, Your SISTER ANGELA.
