HILLS OF HAPPINESS ~ BRIAN & ANGELA

BRIAN & ANGELA

THE VIEW FROM THE SUMMIT OF SNOWDEN ~ AWESOME

MOUNTAINS always excite Angela & I

We love to walk the Fells

Every Mountain reaches to the SKY

They charm us with their Rugged Mountain Spells !

Rock climbing is important in UK

A sport the British really care

And we conquered EVEREST

Just because it happened to be there !

The highest one in ENGLAND

Is called SCAFELL PIKE

Its not too high ~ and so they say

You can get UP & DOWN it ~ in one day !

The same is true of WALES ~ Mount Snowden

Which in Bad Weather can be worse

But at the top there's a HOTEL

Where you can rest and quench your thirst !

BEN NEVIS is in Scotland

It's tough to climb in SNOW

But accessible in the Summer

That's the best time to go !

Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ BRIAN & ANGELA

SCAFELL PIKE is 3227 feet

SNOWDEN is 3581 feet

BEN NEVIS is 4437 feet.

The challenge for MACHO MEN and FEISTY LADIES

is to climb all three in 24 hours ~ I'm too old !

I love Edmund Hillary's remark to our Leader John

Hunt when He & Sherpa Tenzing came down from

The Summit of Mount Everest ~ 29,029 feet !

"Well JOHN we knocked the BUGGER OFF  !"

Me too old too! A fine write B&A. I'm a dullard. I go to Walford for me holidays (EastEnders). A hideous soap on telly in the UK; all doom and gloom!
I love it! I'm staying even longer this year. lol.
You found Bouncer, Angela? The dog that was in 'Neighbours' centuries ago - feels like it!

THANKS UNCLE STEVE: ANGELA HERE ITS 8:30 PM IN NZ! We have added "I Love to go a wandering along the Mountain Track" you might like to revisit? Yes Ive found BOUNCER (He loves the Hills) I am a DOG lover but don't tell BRIAN or he might disengage me! I love the old recordings of NEIGHBOURS! The KIWIS are like the Aussies but more SOPHISTICATED. Both Countries are now a bit more ROYALIST because they love WILLS & KATE & The Kids and of course HARRY & MEGHAN. BRIAN & I never ever watch EASTENDERS but I love all Boroughs of London : Each one is so so different. Next to MADRID, I think its the second Greatest Capital City in the WORLD. Have a great day: Love ANGELA XXXX

Urgghhh! Don't begin to watch EastEnders then! If you're not depressed at the start of an episode, you sure will be at the end of it!

I'm afraid my climbing days are over but still enjoyed the write - ah bugger - one of my Dads favourite words

Thanks MIKE ~ Well for the 60+ there is always Fell Walking in the PEAK DISTRICT ~ Angela & I love MATLOCK etc. Until recently BUGGER was a taboo word in the UK (especially if you know its meaning as a NOUN) . It is freely used in the USA & the Antipodes. It is a powerful expletive especially when something (beyond one's control) is going pear-shaped ~ BU**GER BU**ER BU**ER. My PC often gets called BUGGER ~ which seems to cure it ! Yours as always BRIAN & ANGELA
