METAMORPHIS ~ ROSEBUD INTO ROSE ~ By BRIAN ~ A Sonnet

BRIAN & ANGELA

WITHIN EACH ROSEBUD ~ THERE IS A BEAUTIFUL ROSE ~ AMEN

YESTERDAY I looked out at our Rose Garden

Most of the Roses had bloomed and faded

But on the Peace Rose there was one last BUD

This evening ~ when I looked ~ it had Blossomed

Revealing Pink & Yellow perfection !

I am like that BUD ~ tight and unnoticed

But one day with God's help and Angela's

I can BLOSSOM ~ in my Job ~ in Church

The Community and Raise a FAMILY !

I want to please GOD ~ who created ME

My PARENTS who provided the GENES ~ and

Nurtured  ME ~ and ANGELA who chose ME !

What WE are is God's Gift to each of US

What WE make of OURSELVES ~ OUR Gift to GOD !

Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ Love BRIAN XOX

In the Developing Countries we are BORN ~ not EQUAL

but with EQUALITY of Opportunity ~ Human Rights and

Education and Employment. All Humans take time to

develop and by 35 most MEN are ready to BLOSSOM !

God designed LADIES to BLOSSOM at 25 ! I'm five years

older than ANGELA ~ which is about right ~ OK !

I feel you are blossoming already. or you got longer to wait, if you're gonna reach 117?! A fine and true write Brian.
Some daftness from me today in my poem - utter rubbish! lol.

THANKS STEVE ~ I love the two sides of you personality ~ DAFTNESS & DIGNITY ~ both are equally endearing. YES I am Blossoming in some intellectual fields (not yet Blooming) but perhaps in my subconscious I am thinking of the Maturity & Responsibility that results from Marriage and Parenthood etc. But one cannot rush these things and it takes TWO to TANGO ! Yours BRIAN & ANGELA

Good write Brian. I wrote about a rose about two years ago.

I look into the garden and see it there,
Its glory slowly fading as autumn comes,
Alone now, its friends all fallen away.
The bright yellow of its bloom
        Fading almost to white,
The petals edges starting to whither.
But still it has the ability
        To show me its beauty,
        Remind me of its glory,
        As it once was.
I wonder if when I look out tomorrow
        Will it still be there,
Or will it too be gone,
        That last rose of summer.

Thanks ANDY ~ I love it when I get a POEM as a comment. Your POEM complements and extends mine ~ full circle. The Budding Rose ~ The Blossoming Rose ~ The Blooming Rose and the Dying Rose refer to stages in our live and all have their own intrinsic BEAUTY ! Personally I consider my time to really Blossom is when i am married (2020 ?) and am in a position to start a Family. Of course at my age I have Blossomed in my work (SENIOR LECTURER etc) and in the CHURCH & COMMUNITY but not yet as a Family Man. A Lady like Angela deserves a Husband who has already established himself in Chemistry ~ Church ~ Community etc. I know you understand ~ Thanks for your comment ~ Yours as always ~ BRIAN

So you are about to open into pink and yellow perfection you little rosebud you - fine work Brian.

          • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks MIKE ! As I have pointed out to others I have already blossomed in some areas in Chemistry ~ Church ~ Community. I feel I am now ready to be a Husband and (GOD willing) a DADDY ! It seems to me that is the biggest challenge of all and I think the other "Blossomings" are just the prelude ! I consider 36 is an ideal age for a MAN and 31 for a LADY ~ do you agree ? Best wishes BRIAN

            • Michael Edwards

Yes I agree with the ages - I was married at 21 and had our first child at 23 - looking back on it it was too young but - pleased to say - it worked out perfectly for us both.

              Caro Amico Brian,
La tua poesia è bella come quello bocciolo di Rosa!
Your poem is as beautiful as that Rosebud!
              Abbracci e Baci...
              ~Laura~

CAIO LAURA ~ Grazie per tu comentario bello ! In some areas I have blossomed but in relation to Love & Marriage I am still "Un Bocciolo di Rosa !" Pleased you loved the POEM ! Abbracci e Baci con Amore ~ BRIAN XOX

GRACIAS CHRISTINA ~ lovely to get a comment from you. In some of my replies I have emphasised that while I may have already BLOSSOMED in Chemistry ~ Church ~ Community I am still single (but happily engaged to a Perfect Complimentary Lady ~ Angela). I consider I am ready and mature enough to get married and raise a Family. I know that you will understand & appreciate
