You go through life looking for it,
Looking for that one opening
Where you can move towards success.
Looking for that opportunity,
Looking for a way to move forward.
All you see is a wall before you,
No way to get further into life.
You just need that one opportunity
But there seems to be no way to succeed.
That opportunity can be found,
Because if opportunity does not knock,
All you need to do,
Is build a door in that wall.

- Comment from author about the poem: The way is there in front of you, all you need to do is pursue it. I have a recording of the Swingle Singers singing the 1812 Overture but this is the first time I have seen a video of them performing it, it blew me away.

A fine write Gold.
Thanks Orchi.
ha! ha! instead of going over the wall,
go through it.
It is safer that way, you will not fall off it.
Love the write and now will listen to the SS's.
Thank you Michael. Enjoy the SS's.
Andy,
A great poem! I do believe in the adage WHERE THERE’S A WILL, THERE’S A WAY! We just have to patient and find it.
That was a great video. Very entertaining!
Love to Joyce and you.

Thank you Laura, in life one should never give up there is always more wonder to surprise you.
In total agreement my friend! 😊
Good Morning Uncle ANDY: ANGELA here from Bay of Islands NZ. The first time I heard SWINGLE I was blown away too. Love the video an aural & visual delight : another musical dimension! AMEN for the common sensity in your Poem. I seized the opportunity to come to NZ and BRIAN (Bless his heart) built a DOOR in the WALL of DOUBT and UNCERTAINTY for me. I have repaid HIM by learning to dance the MAORI POI ! (see my Poem). Love & Blessings to Yourself & Joyce : ANGELA XXXX
There is a cracking album of the Swingle Singers and the Modern Jazz Quartet combining and that just blows me away as well.
Or look for the gate hiding at the bottom of the secret garden?
Very true, we all know it is there.
Next to the fairy door 🌟
kick it down and move forward
Yes always move forward.
Sound advice indeed. Seeing/creating the door is major, stepping thru it quite another thing... and no looking back!
The most frightening thing in the world is the unknown, if we had never gone through that door or turned those corners our lives would not be what they are today, it is called experience and no matter how hard we believe it may be we must take that step.
Sound and wise advice here Goldi - - and that video blows me away too - thanks for sharing it.
Thank you Fay, yes that is quite some performance.
