TORMENT

Michael Edwards

TORMENT

Unfettered love can bind the heart

when strings of torment tie their knots

in veins that bear the beating blood.

    Good one Michael.

The house built on wood is not mentioned in the Bible.

Not so far away though - made from driftwood picked up in Cyprus. Thanks Andy

A fine write and pic M. I thought this was gonna be on the theme of my singing, with that title! heehee.

Your voice soars above all others Orchi - but not far enough unfortunately. 🙂

Great poem capturing the torment in unfettered love.

Did you swim around Aphrodite's rock before collecting your wood for the house?

        • Michael Edwards

Been up there many times but never swum round it although have swum on the less known beaches not far from Polis which is a favourite haunt of ours. The wood was gathered on a beach between Limassol and Pafos where our apartment is.

Sounds like a nice place to have an apartment.
            Cyprus is beautiful.

Miss Berles live in a house built on wood? Or built of wood? One of them log cabin things?

            • Michael Edwards

She lives in a house at the end of a path of Cob Berles

Oh I agree that love can be torment when its unfettered force uses no thought. Great piece of wisdom on which to ponder dear friend.

Thanks UNCLE MIKE: Your triplet accurately describes the state of my Heart knowing that on Saturday (its already 7:30 am THURSDAY here) MY BRIAN will be flying 11,500 miles away from me and I'll be "Alone again Naturally". Trouble is he is a key cog in the Science Faculty Engine and must be there : Suited & Booted on Monday @ 8am : so even all My Feminine Charms cant keep him here! However he does have an interview with the Professor of Applied Science @ Auckland University on FRIDAY : Hope springs eternal ............ ! Love the model, BRIAN likes to work in 3D. Is that your Holiday Home in Cornwall ? Love your postings ~ A Blessing : Love ANGELA XXXX
