PRAGMATIC REALISM
The searching minds of chroniclers
reflect on liberalism’s march
eroding truth and freedoms call
and founded in seductive faith
with intellectual dominance
the ideology achieved.

The truth and freedom in our lives are certainly being eroded in our lives by those in power. Ideology is different for each individual.
My ideal life is mine alone, other may like my ideals but they should not be forced on others.
The postcard is on the way.
Good Morning Michael.
Morning Andy. I'll watch out for the post. Mind you I think you've summed it up well here.
A different tack maybe from me - I feel, spiritually anyway, that the Enlightenment era caused people to be more in the dark. 'Liberal' can bring supposed freedom, but may end up bring more traps and snares.
Now - where's me torch to enlighten me? And where's the key to the padlock on these chains, trapping me in this liberal stuff?!
You're not paying attention Orchi. Those chains are easy to get out of - daisies have very soft stems.
Miss Berles make daisy chains?
Yes - she's got the instruction manual - at first attempt she got all the bits in the wrong places - well it is written in gobbledegook.
How about her sister, May Berles (Mabel?)
She's gone out with Daisy Chain
a fine way to introduce
ideology.
Ah - that's what I was writing about - thanks Paul.
And then you get Corbyn yoy yoy yoy yoy yoy yoy my life awlready.
The world wears a white coat but there's no one to put it away - but don't get me on the anti-semitics row - I'm still scratching my head as to what the issues are.
Dodgy issue indeed and i'm not jewish. But having a left of centre party who resist clarifying their position on a racist issue cannot be strengthening their position as a viable opposition and potential government. That said, all parties have every right to criticise any nation for it's belligerence to it's neighbors (steps down from soapbox).
That is where the problem lies - Israel has a lot to answer for and a criticism of the State isn't anti-semitic and yet seems to be interpreted as such. I haven't yet heard an example of prominent Labour members saying anything untoward about the religion and yet they are being persecuted for doing so. As my old Grandad would have said: 'Dafts I calls it'.
May I be excused? My brain is full........... (politics will be the death of me)............
Orchi may be able to help - he is a font of wisdom - over to you Orchi.
GOOD MORNING UNCLE MIKE ~ Sitting on the Philosophers Stone ; TODAY ?
PRAGMATISM : Dealing with things Sensibly & Reasonably in a way that is based on Practical and Realistic consideration rather than intellectual & Theoretical. Brian & I both base our Philosophy and life Style on GODS WORD the BIBLE which is a very practical Guidebook for Living (and surviving) as a Young Couple in the 21st C ! So I guess you could call us EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN PRAGMATISTS & REALISTS. What I have found encouraging is that This Philosophy works on the other side of the World in New Zealand especially among the MAORIS who respect my FAITH in their Creator God. Im not PREACHING Uncle Mike : just TESTIFYING ~ OK. Love in the Spirit as always ANGELA 🧡
Yes I am very much someone who bases my thoughts on realism and experience and needs. I have little respect for those who sit on their bums and pontificate. When working we often had to get on with a contract before any formal terms of agreements were attested. We used to refer to these contracts as being executed under the terms of the JFDO contract. The just Flipping Do It contract (you may replace the word Flipping with another but modesty holds me back from naming it).
I think in politics we could do with a few JFDO policies to inform decision making.
I often wonder if pragmatism and ideology can co-exist--especially extreme ideology.
Not sure - the pragmatist in me says no but ideology says it could.
