THE VIEWS OF NOBLER MEN

Michael Edwards

THE VIEWS OF NOBLER MEN

No foot across the threshold

no hand upon the door

in dark forsaken precincts

on neutral ground they sit.

At one by bond of intercourse

avoiding tools of sophistry

with little capital of gain

they damn the views of nobler men.

"When i worra lad there wont none o this inta web stuff tha knows".

Nobility does not always bring wisdom,
      The wise are ignored
      By the ignorant in power.

You know Nobby Berles - Cilla's brother, or one of her brothers? She may have more.

            • Michael Edwards

I know of Bob Berles - he hangs around somewhere.

              • orchidee

It does something very odd if you search for 'Cilla Berles' on Google, etc.

Some very dubious sites - she gets very prickly if you ask her about them , bit like her brother , Bram Berles.

                  • orchidee

These Berles are spreading - like the plague?!

I'm missing something ...... is this English/UK politics? Oh and I'm loving your little house sculptures - they are 3 dimensional no?

                    • Michael Edwards

Could be political but not intended to be be deeply philosophical. . Simply think of a group of old codgers criticising the more informed.

Yes 3 dimensional - they are sculptures made from found wood.

                      • Lorna

Ah thanks! A bit like our "deplorables" only less dangerous!

VERY TRUE UNCLE MIKE ~ SOPHISTRY ~ The use of clever false arguments ~ especially eith the intention to deceive ! Better now known in the USA as TRUMPETRY and in the UK as BORISTRY ! It was ever thus and alas will ever be ! Yours as ever BRIAN 😎

This make sense when we look at it from the perspective of bringing people together to accomplish something together, but like yo just have put out they damn the views of nobler men.
