SOME (MORE) 575s

Michael Edwards

SOME (MORE) 575’s

Wisdom disobliged

Conjugal felicity

Denounced, abandoned.

With good behaviour

Gratifying sensations

Regaled in credit.

Sombre dignity

Penitence and seclusion

Mournful harmony

    Three good ones there Michael.

I have not commented much on your sculptures - they are wonderful.

    • Michael Edwards

Thanks Andy - so pleased the sculptures appeal.

Yes, lovely sculptures too Michael. Bit swoony now. I spotted 'conjugal!' heehee,

You are so creative. I'm a great fan of your driftwood street scenes. Do you have these on display around your castle or are you an art dealer too, displaying them in rows of glass cabinets with tempting price tags (in $$$$'s of course) to attract new world visitors to take home a piece of old Blighty?

      • Michael Edwards

I do sell them from my studio but haven\'t been making them for a while. I\'m gathering some new material and as soon as I have enough I\'ll make a few more.
Some have gone overseas but they are not the quickest of sellers. the problem with them is that even charging minimum salary they are so much dearer than mass produced pieces imported from China.

THANKS MICHAEL ~ Technically (as you know) they are SENRYU ! We try to encapsulate SHAKESPEARE in a SENRYU ~ You have done that subconsciously 1. Love's Labour Lost 2. Measure for Measure 3. Midsummer Night's Dream ! Any other suggestions ? Love the Houses ~ At Snape ~ price is governed by SIZE cheapest (depending on Artist) is about £50 and of course EACH ONE IS UNIQUE ~ like your SENRYU ! Yours BRIAN.

Thanks Brian- one of the problems inland is that cheap mass produced items are available at circa £5 from places like Dunelm - away from certain 'snobbish resorts they are a hard sell.
