The Doctor is returning,
Returning to our screens.
For fifty-five years
I have watched the Doctor,
Each reincarnation
Followed with joy.
The twelve incarnations
Bringing something different,
Different in their manner,
Different in their style.
The next reincarnation is due,
And as the lady appears
The question will be asked.
“Who is this lady?”
“That is The Doctor”
“Which Doctor?”
“DOCTOR WHO!”

A fine write Gold. Then will the next one be transgender or something? How can one person be labelled 'they'?
It's confusing to me. In not-so-olden-days we were either one or the other - he or she.
Times change, people change and people are showing who they are and have the freedom from their hidden agendas of the past. If you treat everyone with respect no matter race, creed, colour, religion or sexuality the world will be a much better place. (Sorry for going on but equality for all is something I feel strongly about).
Similar joke to a 'Carry On' film, with 'witch doctor' and 'which doctor'! lol.
I have just had a hernia diagnosed by a very young lady doctor - an intimate examination which took me back many years - I felt like a time lord.
Those were the days.

Thanks UNCLE ANDY ~ I love SF and DR WHO with its concept of SPACE / TIME travel and reincarnations of XY Doctors ~ now to be XX ~ give it an infinite existence ~ AMEN ! The tune is iconic and every time I hear it I look over my shoulder for DALEKS ~ creation of a genius and now they can climb stairs ~ I'm no longer safe in BED in my Penthouse Flat ! It was 20 years old when I was born (1983) but I have seen every episode. I look forward to a Female DOCTOR ~ who will no doubt benefit from being able to think laterally and multitask ~ AMEN.

I WAS there in the beginning and can vividly remember (unusually) the first episode when the Doctors granddaughter Susan mentioned the fourth and fifth dimensions - time and space.
