Family Fruitfulness

orchidee

Tune: Lux Benigna

('Lead, kindly Light')

Psalm 127

**********

Except the Lord, save* (*except) He does build the house

It matters not

Whether build children, husband, wife or spouse

Shall be poor lot

For unless He the Lord the house does build

They all that build it shall be unfulfilled

For rising early, vanity it is

It is no bliss

For you to sit up late, for also this

Vanity is

To eat the bread of sorrows, by it fed

He his beloved sleep gives them in bed

Behold, children from the Lord, they sure be

Heritage, see

And fruit of womb His reward, His desire

They shall blessed be

To bless, increase, enlarging family

Happy they who many arrows carry

For children are as arrows in their hand

And thy shall stand

Against their enemies there at gate* manned

And claim their land

Yes, if their quiver full of children blest

They shall in the lord rejoice, in Him rest

----------

* gate - the city gate, the place of business transactions,

and a type of court for judgements passed, etc.

Thanks Gold. Happy singing at church today for you?! I will shop around a bit. Unfortunately I call in some places that could be subtitled: 'Church of the living dead'. doh! Has God gone to sleep there? Does He think 'Oh not you lot again, muttering and mumbling?' But it's people that have gone to sleep almost, I reckon.

GOOD EVENING UNCLE STEVE ! Love ALED ~ He does a good job on Songs of Praise ! I am pleased he has retained his voice (unlike some !) It was our Harvest this morning ~ excellent but NO PUMPKINS etc just Tinned & Dried Goods and Shampoo / Powder / Aftershave & Soap for the night shelter ! C'est la Vie ! The PREACHER looked in vain on the platform for a FRESH FRUIT or VEG to illustrate his TALK he had to settle for Can of Tomato Soup and a tube of "Head & Shoulders" Love the PSALM on of my favorites ! "Ecept the LORD build the HOUSE ~ They labour in vain that build it" tell that to THERESA MAY next time you see her in ALDI (oops I meant WAITEROSE !) Blessings & Love Brian ๐Ÿ˜Ž and ANGELA ๐Ÿงก

Thanks B&A. Ohh will I find the PM (Theresa) in the Co-op? It might be too common for her, along with Aldi and Lidl.
