SHORELINE
Flirting with the gentle wind
a waving sea of whispering grass
along the shorelines pebble fringed
and coated with the undried tears
of ocean spray and foaming clouds
as cliffs of hedge and coppice rise
like ghosts without a grave.

Shorelines can be so emotive, as are your words.
described with great meaning
Thanks Paul
A fine write and pic Michael. That your house-boat there in the pic? Looks like it! Miss Berles gone to sea? Or gone to the dogs?
She's taken Fido for a walk on a boat with Kay Nine.

Greenery along the coastline tends to be coarse and a conflict to the beach or rocks. I caught the motion and contrast here.
Slow to realise a mental picture, several re-reads were rewarding.
I'm honoured that you should reread it - thanks Dusk

Thanks for your kind words FB
That evening going OK? Let's have an evening in with Miss Berles, and all the other Berles, Fido, Kay Nine, and that Manny Festation guy I heard of recently.
Can we invite anyone else?
You coming to the 1066 reunion too?!
Phil E Peenes is coming with Ida Hoe - Oh yes I shall be there - I'm polishing the armour and have bought new hose
Wonderful imagery of the shoreline, Michael. Your poetry is a breath of fresh air!
You're too kind Christina but so pleased you liked it.
