I look up at the clouds,
Their unique formation
Sail slowly by.
A streak of a ‘plane
Cuts through the air,
Creating another formation
That widens with time,
Time that changes in a moment.
And the clouds formations,
Change with infinity.

- Comment from author about the poem: I used to be in an Orchestra many years ago and I used do a trumpet solo in the Grand March from Aida - fond memories.

One of my fondest memories is seeing Aida in Verona - must return. Great write.
Thank you Michael. I have only seen it in a live broadcast but it is a magnificent opera.
Wonderful memories g layig on ones back in the grass looking at clouds...
Those were he days, not a care in the world
Thanks
They certainly were and are the days. I often still look up at the clouds and dream. Thank you Andrew.
A fine write and clip Gold. Erm, but the clouds did not change their formation at all yesterday - it rained all day. Brrr!
How will the clouds be for 1066 reunion? Not long now.
It will be a clear day so that we can look out for arrows.
Time, the great enigma.
I like this, you've encapsulated an everyday experience and given the chance to marvel at somethings which, though we take them for granted, are quite extraordinary.
Thank you da. Yes time is an enigma all through our lives.

A really well-written poem that brings back memories to most of your readers. Never got to see Aida in Verona, so the video was great. Wow! Impressive that you used to perform in the orchestra years ago, and a trumpet solo no less. That's something you will never forget.
Your poems touch the readers' heartstrings. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
