ROMANTIC SHORTIES

Michael Edwards

ROMANTIC SHORTIES

To seek release from sorrow’s spell

she drank the ice cold water

drawn from  salvations well.

Her heart the garden bed

where love’s red roses grow.

Locked in doorless rooms

where  flickering light through latticed windows

touches bodies locked as one.

I am very impressed with the table that you have carved - did it take long to carve and polish?
