Usual Day.

Goldfinch60

The night faded into a grey day,

Clouds covered the sky.

As morning reach noontime

The sky brightened,

The grey clouds turned white,

The sun was seen behind the white.

A black cloud approached,

Rain descended,

Hail streamed from above,

And was gone.

The white clouds were moved,

Moved by the grey.

The grey day faded,

Into the darkness of night,

Leaving memories of every season,

Every season in one day.

The vaguaries of the British weather?

    • fuche_bu

Good writing. Sounds like you had a hell of a day.

      • Goldfinch60

It was quite fun but typical of British weather - four seasons in one day.

        Andy,

This terrific write resonates loud and clear! The one thing missing...hail! Last year, on our way to Rome from the Campania region, we experienced all that you’ve described with a final hurrah of a hail storm! The good thing is that we’re here to talk about it!

        I enjoyed Ennio Morricone’s “The Mission”. Awesome...Morricone conducts Morricone🎶😊

My love to Joyce and to you!

Thank you Laura, it sounds as though Italy has its own weather vagueries as well.

Yes I love Ennio Morricone's work. I have a great deal of it but he has written so much. I even have an album of songs sang in Italian, I don't know what the words mean but the music is wonderful.

          Thank you

          Andy

I might have to translate them for you!😉 In the meantime, enjoy the music! It speaks for itself!🎶

OK so Goldfinch is the weatherman. You're very brave indeed. So its your fault is it,.. this terrible weather we're getting... I know, I know excuses ... you're saving up the good stuff till you have a vacation... a cheap trick if ever i saw one.
And now we've got to fiddle with the clocks to mend your mistakes with daylight.
Yours must be one of the easiest jobs to get.... you can get all your predictions wrong (no hurricane etc) and still have a job tomorrow.... sounds a bit Fishy to me.

            • Goldfinch60

Well somebody has to do it.
If I were in control of time though I certainly would not mess around with the clocks. This one that "gives" us an extra hours sleep just completely messes up my body clock.

As I write this Ella and Satchmo are duetting with the Oscar Peterson Quartet on the Radio, Jazz Record requests. What more could I want?

THANKS UNCLE ANDY ~ Four Seasons in ONE DAY and not just in the UK either. Winter is already showing its icy claws as we approach November. Life is not fair ~ Angela has enjoyed a Sub-Tropical Winter and now its 20+ F (70+ C) in Auckland as Spring morphs into Summer while we have to endure Autumn morphing into Winter Brrrrrrrrrrrr !
Love the Divine Music & Poem ~ Yours Brain & Angela & Love to Joyce & Yourself 🧡🧡🧡🧡

At last the temperature is beginning to come down to the temperature that I can deal with, there was a frost around us yesterday, wonderful.

Praise God for the assortment of “creatures” that make their way into this piece. Everyone one of them creatures for without God .... nothingness...

                • Goldfinch60

Very true Edward, each of those creatures has its own magnificence from God.
