Tune: Bunessan
('Morning has broken')
John 15 v.12-17

John's Gospel Series (18)
Love one another, this my commandment
Jesus said, He from the Father sent
Love one another as I have loved you
This [is] how people my disciples know
Greater love has no man than this, that he
Lay down his life here for his friends, see
And we are Jesus' friends, if we do
Whatever He commands, even you
Not known as servants, for such do not know
What their lord does, not know it all, no
But Jesus has called us friends, has us shown
All things from the Father, made them known
We have not chosen Him, but He us chose
Ordained us, that through us good fruit grows
And that the fruit should remain, productive
Serving Him and others, so we live
That whatsoever in prayer we shall ask
Of the Father, be great or small task
What we ask in Jesus' name, so be
The Father shall give it to us, see

Great stuff - did you write it yesterday?
Doh, I wrote it now, or tomorrow, or some-when, or no-when! Yummy, tasty fruit.
I 'cheat' a bit. I don't always write one poem per day. Sometimes 2 or 3 per day, so having some in reserve.
Orchi,
āLove one anotherā...
Three Perfect, wonderful words!
Thank you for sharing!
~Laura~

Uncle Steve here - a very old uncle, as you know! Thanks Brian.
A great verse to set to the 10/9/10/9 Orchidee. Very much enjoyed the beautiful tune with its accompaniment of fine photography.
Thanks Gary. Not all that difficult a metre. Similar to 10.10.10.10. but with a couple of syllables lopped off on some lines.
"Love one another" - one day this WILL happen.
Thanks Gold. It happens surely now, between people, if not universally by everyone. Just don't sit in my pew there, or I won't love ya! (heehee).
