BONFIRE NIGHT ~ LIKE NOVEMBER ~ A DAMP SQUIB !
NOVEMBER not a Fun Month in the UK
OVERCAST and wet and cold all day !
VERY little happens so we focus on CHRISTMAS
EVERYONE is occupied minding our own BUSINESS !
MEN ~ Who like to play with FIRE ~ build their Bonfire high
BONFIRE NIGHT is dark & damp ~ We love to burn a GUY !
EACH LEAF falls ~ nights get cold ~ fire burns to an ember
REJOICE NOVEMBERS dead & gone ~ Party Time ~ DECEMBER !

AMERICAN MEMBERS please understand ~ We dont do
THANKSGIVING in the UK ! We only have BONFIRE NIGHT
(see video). Big Bonfires & Expensive Fireworks are of
course Al Fresco ~ its always COLD and it often RAINS.
The only food is GINGERBREAD & TOFFEE APPLES and
in the UK BBQ Food is always sacrificed ! Its the same
every year Seniors & Dogs hate it ~ Children get scared
and cold ~ BUT it is BRITISH and everyone grins & bears
it. I some ways its even worse than HALLOWEEN ! But
November 6th dawns and it smells and looks like a
WAR ZONE ~ BUT at last we can PLAN & PRACTICE in
earnest for CHRISTMAS less than 50 more Shopping
Days ! My advice for BONFIRE NIGHT is DONT do it
YOURSELF ~ a decent FIREWORK can cost £5 ($7)
and you ruin your lawn ~ set your shed on fire and
scare the DOG to death (it happens) Fork out £10 ($13)
£5 for KIDS and go to a Nanny State CIVIC BONFIRE
enjoy a burned hamburger (£2:50 = $3:50) get Cold
& Wet and ENJOY another BRITISH BONFIRE NIGHT !

It's a pity Guy Fawkes didn't succeed.
My favourite time of the year are those sun filled frosty November mornings.

Great acrostic but as for the video - well lots of info for those who aren't familiar with our customs but the most wooden of acting - so wooden they could make a great bonfire of it.
Yes Michael. And why bother with fires, etc in some soaps? They should all be burned up, they're all made of wood - the acting! Bring back Bouncer to 'Neighbours' I say! The only true actor in it.

Thanks LORNA pleased you enjoyed it ! The problem is with it being NOVEMBER (5th) and it has to be in the evening (after 7pm) It is cold and often damp ! Too cold for SENIORS and too loud and smokey for KIDS & DOGS. Still we do enjoy it (or should that be ENDURE) every Year for historys sake ! Yours BRIAN.
