AND SO TO BED

Michael Edwards

AND SO TO BED

Sweaty Dot is always hot and somewhat dumb

Frosty Beat has frozen feet and ice cold bum.

Dear Limpet Lil lies very still and hangs on tight

and Hairy Clare’s in bed all bare tonight.

    Different Michael.

I still want to know what is through that gate.

Another field Andy - it's just outside our village - this sketch done with a charcoal pencil plus a water brush. I've recently discussed the use of the water brush on an art forum and to my surprise nobody seemed familiar with the technique - and many professional artists among the participants.

Even I have heard of water brush and in no way am I an artist but our daughter, an artist, and I have discussed art and its styles at length.
In all the years that we have discussed art I discovered last week that she seems to have a more closed mind to some art than I have, maybe it is my age that experience has shown me to accept and appreciate more, this has happened in my love of music as well, I listen to music now that I wouldn't have entertained ten years ago.

Should I meet Clare? Will Fido bark to deter me?!
Cooeee - I'm not in bed, but my poem will be later today, after one 'blew up' yesterday! I got to wait 24 hours.

Was it a terrorist poem - should I put out an alert - does Miss Berles know?

          • orchidee

Well, the clip blew up really, so the poem would not upload either. Yes, call out Fido and Miss Berles. She may have been behind it, cos I used too many syllables. She was trying to stop me using so many.

THANKS UNCLE MIKE : For another Dotty Ditty ! UK poetic humour is often misunderstood once you're outside the Fishing Zone which is one of the 1001 reasons for BREXIT : We're Happiest when we're INSULAR (although I do value "Mi sangre Espanola !) Thanks for Pome 'n Pic: lovely :

                Michael,

                Michael,

                Very amusing!
I hope Hairy Clare doesn’t catch a cold!

Love your drawing! It reminds me of my great grandparents’ estate where beyond that gate were many cows grazing! Beautiful memories!

Hairy Clare will have Limpet Lil clinging to her to keep her warm and along comes Frosty Beat to cool them down again and then Sweaty Dot upsets the apple cart and I say 'I've had enough - I'll go and sleep with Hot and Cold Hetty - now where has she come from. Best ask Orchi.

Honey bunny swears shes funny and giggles in her burrow.
Here and now swears he's a plough and buried in his furrow.

Thanks for brightening up my day.
