FAITHFUL & CHRISTIAN (CENTRE) ENTER VANITY FAIR !
CHRISTIAN & FAITHFUL this famous Ditty
Walked singing & praising to The Celestial City !
BUT there were Dangers before the Happy Pair
Next one they encountered CITY of VANITY FAIR !
By their speech : their attitude & dress
Folk knew that they were DIFFERENT : what distress.
They cared NOT for their Rudness & their Slurs
Refused to be seduced by their Affluence & Wares !
The City People shouted at them : Would not be QUIET
Beat them & brought them to the Judge for causing RIOT
The Judge (LORD ~ HATE GOOD) witnesses required
Envy : Superstition : Pickthink : stepped up to the Dias.
They All gave False Witness & villified the MEN
FAITH first was tried : No one spoke good of Them !
Would they get an honest trial ? Juries names make me smile
They just add fuel to fire : Lovelust : Liveloose : Liar !
Blindman : Nogood : Implaccable & Malice
This was NOT a Jury : Wonderland of Alice !
Hatelight : Cruelty : Heady : Emnity & Highmind
Let Faithful die : They shouted : as one Man
And by a DEATH most horrible : He met his end !
Faithful showed no bitterness : was received into GLORY
Christian managed to escape and continue on his Journey.
He proceeded on his way on the Celestial Ride
With a New Companion : HOPEFUL by his Side !

BUNYAN (1678) always a Best Seller. It is an Allegorical Story
(based on a Dream) of the CHRISTIAN'S Journey : through
Life : to the Celestial City HEAVEN ! Angela & I can empathise
with the Book so we decide to collaborate and write some
Poems based on Christians Journey. This is the FIRST. Being
Christians gives us Great Joy & Assurance of Eternal Life :
But there is also criticism and misunderstanding. Since the
Day of Pentecost (AD 33 when the Christian Church started)
there have been millions of Martyrs & many People have died in
the 21st Century for their Faith in JESUS ! Love B & A 🧡🧡🧡

Wow! That is my favorite book. I have that book, and Part 2, 'Christina's Story'. Not alot of people talk about that book. The language in Christina's story is a bit, or should I say really hard to understand. Unless you are probably from England.

I know. What I am saying is that, 'part two', is harder to understand than, 'part one'. It is though they are totally different types of english. I enjoy the language of, 'part one'. I would not want it any other way.

WOW Christina ~ Never read PILGRIMS PROGRESS ? It is one of the Great Christian Classics ! You should get one on AMAZON for a couple of dollars ~ OK. Try and get one with ILLUSTRATIONS which will assist you to understand the Elizabethan English and settings. Vanity Fair is a typical English Country Fair.
