The greens turn to gold,
The oranges change to red,
Autumn is with us.

a fine write Gold. I wondered why it is called the Fall, then I fell over on a pile of slippery leaves. Doh!
You must look where you are going - go to Specsavers!
I might have been on the way to Specsavers when I had me fall!
Love the season - - love that number on a trumpet - - and love your haiku. Thanks for sharing it Goldi.
Thank you Fay, Chet Baker is my favourite Jazz trumpeter and I have a great many of his albums.

A beaut of a haiku - now to listen to CB
Chet Baker is wonderful in my opinion. Thank you for the kind comments.
I adore these.. when I stumble upon a good one, they epitomise the concept of 'less is more'.. this is good, in my book... N
Thank you Neville, I have written many haiku and senryu over the years.
The beautiful Fall colors are captured in your haiku. Yet, Winter is upon us, so I must add another line to your poem.
"The greens turn to gold,
The oranges change to red,
Autumn is with us,
as evidenced by the cold." 🙂
Yes it is getting cooler, down to my sort of temperature, I don’t feel the cold but do not like the heat.
It's freezing here. I like neither the heat of Summer nor the cold of Winter. My favorites are Spring and Autumn. Yet, the weather for the last few years has gone from Winter to Summer and Summer to Winter with no Spring and Autumn. Sad!
