Conditions on Roads are getting appalling
Are you ready for the SNOW today ?
Some things are essential for you to carry
Get them TODAY and do not TARRY !
Correct pressure for your tyres : Oil topped up OK
Petrol : more than half a tank : Antifreeze s'il vous plait !
Tool kit & Jack & A Spade & A Brush
To dig you out and brush the SNOW away
First Aid Kit (in case you're hit) : A Fire ......
Extinguisher too : Antifreeze (in the cooling system)
And windscreen washer too ! TYRE CHAINS I'll add OK
But only for the USA : BRITS slip & slide all day ......
And Blankets for a snowed-in stay !
A can of Lubricating Oil : Don't carry
GAS in the UK : NOT even sealed inside the Boot
Or Trunk as Americans would say
Always carry water : a litre please and DRINKABLE
To DRIVE in WINTER without these : really is UNTHINKABLE !

GRACIAS ANGEL ~ I guess youre tucked up in bed and fast asleep now ! I have just finished teaching for the day and am catching up on MPS with a hot mince pie and a cup of Earl Grey ~ I have a Course Meeting (Path Lab Technicians) @ 4 pm. Margaret is an excellent Course Tutor and we have a fine cohort of Students in each year. I teach basic Biochemistry on the Course which is a course in my Applied Science Sub-department ~ OK. I do envy you being in Auckland for Summer in the months of D J & F ! You will find it very paradoxical to be Sailing on Christmas afternoon. Ruths Family have been very generous to you ~ I am thrilled People love you so much and I know you are very safe with them. The Autumn leaves are very damp now and much less Swishable ! A needed list of essentials for snowy assault Brian - - well even here in the south west we have a sprinkle now and then but not every year - yet we in this country are never prepared - so I vote everyone reads this informative note and takes heed to escape the white menace on roads. Thanks for letting us know your fave. car too - - - not in that league is my tiny Mazda. x
THANKS FAY ~ I am not a great CAR FANATIC but God provides my needs with an ALLEGRO as He does yours with a MAZDA ~ Godliness with Contentment is great GAIN ! Being a Scientist I take great care of my CAR MECHANICALLY and I have never had a Breakdown or run out of PETROL / OIL / WATER / ANTIFREEZE etc. I find others ill-equipped which causes inconvenience to other road users ~ OK. I was active in the Scouts when I was younger ad my MOTTO is still BE PREPARED ! The things I have listed are in my car today ! In order to lead Field Excursions for the College I have to be First Aid Trained which is why I carry a kit and a litre of pure water etc. On the Road (and off it !) we all need to be Good Samaritans and never pass by on the other side when People are in need ! THANKS UNCLE MIKE ~ Hope you are back in the saddle soon ! We are so reliant on our WHEELS . I still use a BIKE (Spring Summer Autumn) but I cleaned & oiled it and it and put it in the spare BEDROOM till MARCH ! Because I am a FIRST AIDER ~ I am quite strict about carrying a FIRST AID KIT etc and it has come in handy especially to help CYCLISTS who have taken a tumble and scratched and bruised themselves etc. I have little sympathy with people who run out of Petrol ~ dont have a JACK and dont carry antifreeze and a Brush & Spade ! Winter is forecast to be hard ~ to compensate for the very HOT Summer ~ its all to do with CLIMATIC EQUILIBRIUM ETC ~ Every Blessing & love for a speedy recovery ~ BRIAN & ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡
