That’s it!
I have heard enough!
Sitting there drinking my coffee,
Quite happily chatting
Chatting to the missus,
When on it came,
That flaming song,
Came on at least a month early.
It was still the middle of November
For goodness sake,
But blasting out
Over the sound system
Came that flaming song,
As apparently someone is dreaming,
“Dreaming of a White Christmas”.

I'm sure Christmas must have moved to Nov.25th this year. I saw a house with festive lights blazing away - in the daytime too!
Bah-Humbug.
The supermarkets are full of christmas goodies. Yep earlier every year. By the time christmas arrives they'll be sold out.
I'm puzz;ing over how i can make a 4 yr old grandaughters christmas a little happier with a present this year... i have no idea at all. I see her busily playing a game on her mum's mobile phone and think to myself..... wow!
Yep we will soon start seeing the preparations for Christmas straight after the New Year.
I sw an advert in the I newspaper yesterday for a child's build yourself wind-up clock - the company is called www.happypuzzle.co.uk add /clock on the end to see the clock - that company may be worth exploring for children's toys.

Granddad Bing (b. 1903) I love him and he influenced all the great Ballad Singers that followed : Sinatra NKC Jim Reeves Tony Bennett Tom Jones etc. What I love about WHITE CHRISTMAS is that Bing had the temerity to WHISTLE in it. Bing didnt rate it : but Irving Berlin said to his Secretary after she had stenographed it for Him "I think weve got a good one here !" I am not knocking the singer or the song just the playing of it so early in the year!
I've no idea where they get the inspiration to play Christmas music so early - I'm with you - I feel like walking out of the shop and sometimes doi.
So do I but I couldn't walk out this time as it was in the Coffee Bar that we go to several times a week and they call me there 'poet in residence' I will give them this poem though.
I like that 'Poet in Residence'
