F E B R U A R Y ~ BRIAN ~ A Barrel Acrostic

ANGELA & BRIAN

THE SCANDINAVIANS & CANADIANS ARE LAFFING !

Frost & Snow

Each thing frozen

Blue noses and ears

Rush-hour chaos no chains

Upsets ~ All the Transport

Annual happening

Really British

YES IT IS !

Thanks for visiting ~ Comments Please ~ Love BRIAN  🧡🧡🧡

If you live in the UK are you ready for FEBRUARY SNOW  ?

NO Snow Tyres ~ NO Snow Chains ! Im not ready either !

It never ever SNOWS deep in ESSEX ~ BRIAN 🧡🧡🧡

What on Earth is a BARREL ACROSTIC you may ask ?

Well it is a free verse Acrostic and it ends up shaped

like a BARREL by virtue of an UP & DOWN syllabus

count !  If the word has an EVEN number of letters

there are TWO equal middle lines and if ODD there

is only ONE !  Because Barrels have a flat top and

bottom you start and finish with TWO or MORE

syllables. Mine is 3 4 5 6 6 5 4 3 !  It sounds easy

but the skill is getting the length of the lines RIGHT.

I do this by TYPING the Acrostic into WORD first and

then adjusting the lines with ~ etc to get it right !

ANGELA will post an odd one tomorrow !  Love B & A 🧡🧡

We want snow when we're young, then don't want it when we're older. Can we tell our age by this means?!
It's wishing the year away maybe - but let's hope for an early Spring?

Oh I know the snow's floating causes such chaos but each flake is unique so I am told and is beautiful - - as is the prose of your barrel acrostic A.B.- - great little warning to those who have snow.
