Yep, it's that time of year again -
You're all invited - sort of!
It depends if you were there in person
If you were, come along
To the Annual 1066 Hastings Reunion
Not to non-UK poets: It was a Battle held in 1066 in the UK
On October 14th.
Now it's not so far-fetched...
I'm sure some of you are over 950 years old now
I certainly am!
Fido my watchdog is too - he's very old
But he don't want any 'swoony' poems appearing
While he's away! (heehee)
It was all my fault, you know
The Battle may have turned out differently
If I had not appeared and uttered
Those fateful words to Harold at that vital moment:
'Look up, Sire' - and he did
He never saw the arrow - nor did I....
And all the rest is history!
Yep, pack your bags ready
See ya there, I hope!
You'll need your Birth Certificate
Or you won't get in
That's the only condition -
You have to have been there in person in 1066
For this annual nuttiness! lol.

Is nuttiness annual...more like daily for me...all sounds exciting...🌹
Thanks Thoughts. Yep, it's barmy! lol.
Pleasure always..insanity is sanity...🌹
Orchi was my servant at the time and I told him not to say anything to the king, but would he listen, of course he wouldn't.
Lol...do we ever do what we meant to do...at first??
I'll be there - I'm going with Sally Conquest - Norman's brother.
Thanks M. Any of the Berles going?!
Yes - Fusty Berles is Norman Conquest's cousin four and a half times removed.
I'm coming and I'm bringing William Tell with me. He is about 250 years younger, but one hell of a shooter!
I am already there waiting in the pub for you or are you frightened that they may not have any water for you put in my drinks.
I'll go down to the beach on 14th and see if there are any more Normans coming over, I hope not as Я їх не розумію, as you know I am bilingual speaking both English and Rubbish.
Thanks all. lol.
