MAKE you feel well fed @ Christmas & very very Placid !

BRAZIL NUTS ~ Selenium ~ take two a day
CASHEW NUTS our fave contain Iron you see
CHESTNUTS are rich in vitamin C
HAZEL NUTS for Potassium & vitamin E !
MACADEMIA for thiamine & Manganese
PECANS are ANTIOXIDANT rich
PINE NUTS give argenine & vitamin E*s
PESTACHIOS plant sterols give you a hitch
WALNUTS are MEGA ~ omega 3 rich !

AT CHRISTMAS all sorts of strange commodities appear
in the Food Shops ! Stollen - Gingerbread - Muulled Wine
etc ! They only appear in December & disappear again in
January ! But the strangest of all are Figs - Dates & NUTZ !
Where do they disappear to ? OR are they all metamorphised
into HAGGIS for BURNS NIGHT in JANUARY ?
Brian & I have studied NUTRITION so we have a handful of
mixed nuts (no peanuts !) everyday and we*re still alive at
31 & 36 ! Never eat PEANUTS in an open dish in a bar ~
you never know whose handled them ~ say no more !

A fine write B&A. Ooh, I can't have figs, nor too many figgy-like mince pies. It makes me remember vindaloo - if I liked curry, that is! TMI (Too Much Info) to say more!. lol.
And I want Non-figgy Pudding too!
Just love nuts. My breakfast muesli contains 50% fruit and nut with no additives. Great write A&B

Thanks FAY ~ We cannot overstress the importance of NUTS in our diet. They provide minerals & vitamins which the BODY needs but are very sparse in other foods ! Mike has suggested MEUSELI and that is good way of ensuring one gets FIVE NUTS a Day ! I (BRIAN) teach Nutrition and Angela provides diet sheets for her Clients. We like to pop in a Poem on Science related Subjects as they are not normally covered on Poetry Sites ! Now that MPS has quietened down a bit ~ Angela is happier here but still prefers a joint site ~ OK Most of our Poems are collaborations ~ OK
