DURING LOCKDOWN ~ With Pubs & Restaurants Closed Folk have had to rely on *Home Cookin* and there have been lots of complaints ~ when compared to the Local Caff ! This Poem deals with the biggest gripes ~ OK !Ive bin doin* most of the most of the CHEFFIN* cos ANGELA is busy PHYSIOTHERRAPIN* ! As a Lecturer in Food Science Im a Precise Cook & ANGELA is a Spice Cook so we have NO Complaints ! The JAZZ Classic focuses on the excellence of *Home Cookin* in Southern US & we can vouch for that ! The visual shiws a *Full English* with some of the imperfections mentioned in the Poem ! Burned Toast & Bangers - Hard Fried Eggs - Too many Beans & Cold Coffee ! Does that ring a BELL ? Such food NEVER served in UK Motorway Caffs of course ~ only Haute Cuisine ! BURNED TOAST ~ The thing I hate the most - MUM
Scrape it in the Bin - YES and then start agin !
Steak & Veg thats overcooked - we*ve noted
MUM cant bear to cook Steak rare - her Sprouts are always bloated !
Stale baguettes & Mashed Potato ~ LUMPY
We train our College Students - Never to serve those
Our Diners @ the College would be ~ GRUMPY
And our WINES all have - a Nose like a Garden Hose !
Cauliflower Cheese - that always full of Water
Roast Potatoes never Crisp - but always SOGGY
Never serve those to your Son or Daughter
Such *Pommes de Terre* are not fit for your DOGGY !
Bruised Bananas - turn out blackened - when you PEEL
And hard-fried Eggs - Just make me wanna SQUEEL !

I've been cooking all my long life so this lockdown has never affected my eating habits.
The biggest problem with that 'Full English' is that there is no Black Pudding.

BRIAN HERE ~ GGOD MORNING UNCLE ANDY ~ Depends how far North you are ! Some people object to BP because it contains BLOOD ! What better FOOD ? They serve WHITE PUDDING (an oxymoron) South of BRUM ! It was meant to be a bad example (burnt toast etc) and SANS BP was one of the omissions as well as too many hash browns instead of Fried Bread ! Is TRUMP taking over ?
