Tame Your Unquiet Minds.

Goldfinch60

In life there are situations,

Situations that disturb us,

Fill our minds with troubles.

We can get over this

But we need to tame this,

Tame this in our minds.

Tame this in our unquiet minds.

We need to live in joy

And with that joy we can offer compassion,

Can offer compassion to everyone,

To every living being on this earth.

We will all then be able to live

To live in joy and harmony

With compassion for all.

    A fine write Gold.
I came across 'unquietudeness' recently. Dunno if it's even a proper word. There's that hippo word. I mean 'hippo....' you know it!

      Thanks Orchi.

There certainly is a word unquietude but I don't think there is one with a ..ness on the end of it.

Also - yes, it's quite psychological this. I read of: thoughts affecting our feelings, and then feelings affecting our behaviour - what we actually do.

Thanks Orchi, you have seen what I was trying to say.

Sadly it is a great human failing. History shows our inability to live in harmony as recently as today.

We should continue to aspire to harmony though.

Thank you d a, yes I would like to think that harmony is within our grasp but I can also see pigs flying!

I was listening to a barber shop choir only yesterday - they were a cut above the average.
          Fine write Andy.

          • Goldfinch60

            Thank you Michael.

Every time I went to sing in the choir I had to go and get my hair trimmed first.

It's a pity I didn't see what you were trying to say to me in 1066!

              • Goldfinch60

My words obviously fell on deaf ears Orchi.
