There they go again,
My housemates complaining,
Complaining that there is a ghost,
A ghost in this house.
I have never ever seen one
But they are frightened,
Frightened all the time.
Many of them have gone,
Driven out of the house
By this so called ghost.
But I have never seen one,
Never seen one
In all the time I have been here,
And I have only been here
For two hundred and ninety seven years.

A fine write Gold.
Yes, it's true you've been there 297 years, as we've both been around since pre-1066!
Thanks Orchi.
Oh come one! We were around when we had dinosaurs a pets!
Andy
Ahh yes, we're even older. 2st Century dinosaurs? e.g. couples where one is 'into' I.T. and one is not. The former calls the latter 'dinosaur!' lol. Some won't use it because of the 'daemon' domain name being too close too 'demon'. That's just being silly,
great poem Goldfinch with a great twist. Thanks for sharing your bit 'o fun
Thanks katie, so kind.
Andy
It's the cobwebs between your fingers and in your nostrils which give it away. And every well spooken word from your lips.
I do have trouble with those cobwebs d a.
Andy
Good 'un Andy - but you know, sometimes folks aren't brave enough to tell you the truth........ BO must be a bit of a problem after....how long was it?
No problem with BO, it has become the norm in the house.
Andy
as the uncultured philistine I am
although, not at all - hostile
to learning, sadly
this write flew way over
me little brain, 'that wished it could'
lol
still, Vivaldi's timeless 'four season's',
is enough
for me to listen and smile..
thanks for sharing, dear poet
My pleasure Mek.
Andy
This was a real treat to read. A real pick-me-up in these trying times. Encore I say!
Thank you Nicholas, most kind.
Andy

Andy
Got it! You're the ghost! I feel like a won a quiz show..... you wouldn't be too spooky I think.....
Well done, your prize is in the ether Lorna.
Andy
Nice take on ghosts Andy - well done!
Thank you John.
Andy
Till the last line, I thought the ghost was just everybody else’s conjecture, and now I know you wanted the whole building to your self. What’s your secret ‘cause I haven’t been able to scare anyone away.
Love the read
Age is the secret Suresh.
Thank you.
