LET NOT OUR SKIN DIVIDE
When revolutions fires are weak
the dreams that float in troubled tides
may yet be caught as fish in nets
across the waves of liberty
upon Medusa’s raft.
With stoics cloak drawn ever close
its threads of faction still uncut
whilst hope preserved in saline spray
will surely sever bigotry
let not our skin divide.

Are they the two fishes Miss Berles fed the (over) 5,000 with, and with with a few loaves too?!
excellent summary with such a telling title mike -- -- saved this poetic appeal for hope to sever such bigotry
Thank you Fay - a small voice in a crowd but lets hope....
How could an old salt like me not fall for words such as these .. I do so love it when a fellow wordsmith makes me stop in my tracks & think ... woah ..
A well seasoned response - thanks Neville - wish I could write these every day of the week but truth tio tell they take a while and many revisits. I admire poets like Fay who can turn out work like this on a daily basis - now shes a real poet.
Imagine. If only bigotry was eradicated…..
Wonderful lines.
If only - thanks rozina.

Always think in an emergency situation, does your bigotry change when someone is saving your life.
