the light we see we dont see

dusk arising

with timeless subtle majesty
the inspiration of ageless poetry
creeps her carnival of light
into the eastern sky
projecting her radiant displays
into the enchantment of luscious pink desire
which has captured so many lovers
lustful pounding hearts through every age
as first gold of dawn's bedazzlement
would besplender the eye....

......on another day
in another time.....

for today her golden light
falls upon the savaged ruins of a city landscape
cursed with the wail of a million tears
alight with fires of warfare
belching noxious stench of black smoke death
where weary, wary, devoted,
caring, saintly souls
ply their pitiful path through
ragged remnants
of pathetic ruptured building detritus
among a hades of hideously tortured bodies
searching, ..pausing, ..listening
for signs of life's despair
faith of rescue alive in their hearts
as never before
ever moving forward
through this living hell of stolen choices
hoping, ..willing
in subdued rage of anger
..caring

.....praying

as
majestic she rises
golden, pure, timeless
our light of creation

the light by which we may one day find our path
through this shame of darkness within mankind

Wonderful words d a and the music suits it, strangely that music is being played on the radio while I write these words.
