smiling with the butterflies
laughter enlights her cobalt eyes
glance ecstasy personified
in barefoot dancing pale levi's
. as outside silent night sweeps by
. in duvet slumbers dreams i lie
. where years desires carefree fly
. till dawning's kiss
. of sweet goodbye
each motion making mockery
a passion hence denied in me
till lovers final harmony
enraged my thundering timpani
. as outside silent night sweeps by
. quiet calls a stifled cry
. memory time cannot deny
. of dawnings kiss
. and last goodbye

'enraged my thundering timpani'..
what imagery!
immersing us, in that crackling
monotone, drumming of our pulses
whilst traversing
that impending inevitability
of a love's
last, remaining autumnal leaf
surrendering, its grip...!
(a heartbreakingly beautiful depiction, Dusk

Very reminiscent and nostalgic. I sense this strange sensation you've described and I can relate. You've explained it finely.
You never fail - another joy of a read.
Beautiful emotive words d a.
