now ready to depart

dusk arising

taking colours she has stolen
           from out my sweetest dreams
she paints a journey
                  leading from my heart
through crowded rooms
                         and whisperings
to my waiting train stood long
                    now ready to depart

pastel shades of blue become
                     golden fields aflame
casting jewels of sheer desire
'cross the canvas of my soul
pulse of passion clouds my sight
                  as light of reason slips
and brutal urge within creates
                    needs beyond control

the early hours reach out
and crawl to light of dawn
where hearts lay fragile, tender
                   beneath a quilt of fear
emboldened love reassures
                   in passion now re-born
and hesitation 'ere within
              lifts her veil and disappears

Sometimes the wait is worth it, and how many times does someone really special come into your life, and into your life at the right time too.
    Good times ahead, methinks.

    The lovely words that lace
    The beautiful emotions that weds
Uniting at the core of hearts
    A beautiful analogy “ depart “
    What a lover shall yearn
    A greatest compliment
The pastel shades that you use
    Strings her heart
    Soon comes the spring
    When the winter departs
Yearning for the refreshing breeze amidst the blazing sun
The striking words lace the poetry
Causing a sudden stop to the chaotic hearts
    Very beautiful dear Dusk
An endless piece of praise feels like writing for such fine art

Wow. I love this bittersweet seperation you portray. It feels so real and the colors you paint brings to the mind pictures that dance your words across the screen. Beauty.
